League Results for Division D04_TA0806 week 6

Players,

The location Sports N More has been sold, therefore the team has dropped out, please note that we have changed the playing schedule to reflect the same. Also, please print the new schedule as there has been a change for the Thanksgiving Holiday Week.

Please see the rules under handicap for explanation of how to obtain the win for that nights match:

Bye Credits

If you want your team to be credited with a win and the points on the week you have a bye, you need to complete a score sheet identifying the 5 players for that week -- each player will be awarded their average score, i.e. their handicap. The team will be awarded a win and the team points will be computed by summing the average of the five participating players. The captain must collect the weekly dues for those 5 players, and drop the envelope off the same as usual! All byes must be paid by the following week. (No Exceptions!)

If you know of players that would like to form a team to take their place, please call the league office and ask for Darrell and he will call those players and set it up.

Remember, that the LoneStar Pool League is a sanctioned league with the American CueSports Alliance which will entitle you to play and compete in the National and Local Events they sponsor.

Next Event for the State of Texas: Let me know if you are interested in attending this event.

Dear Texas league operators: (LoneStar Pool League)

We are pleased to report the 2009 ACS Texas 8-Ball Championships will return to the Harker Heights Events Center (Harker Heights/Killeen) – Feb. 26 – March 1.  It will be open to ACS-sanctioned league members only.  If you did not sanction with ACS last year or desire to “dual-sanction” with ACS this year to offer your players more benefits, we have attached ACS sanction forms and poster order forms.  The 2008 ACS Texas 8-Ball Championships in Harker Heights was a fun event, and Harker Heights is a great location!  The flyer is attached.

New Season Division 4

Welcome to the new season for Division 4. This season will run approximately 18 to 22 weeks, depending upon the final count of teams participating. Please see:(http://www.lonestarpool.com/divisions/4sched.pdf) for the first draft of the playing schedule however because of our two week window to bring new teams on board the playing schedule for the season will be modified. We will have the schedule completed within the next two weeks. The season will commence on June 26th, 2008, however there will be no play the following week for the July 4th holiday. I will contact each Captain to confirm their first match and also to arrange delivery of their new manuals.

LSPL & ACS Membership Fees

In order to compete in our league you must be a member of both the LSPL and the American CueSports Alliance (ACS). $20.00 takes care of both the LSPL and the ACS. Your membership fee is annual and will be due within the first two weeks of play. Our membership along with the ACS membership is valid from 5/31/2008 to 5/31/2009. If you are a member of another ACS or National Sanctioning Body league, your LSPL membership dues are still $20.00. We pay the ACS membership fee as a courtesy for our players.

Rules: World-standardized Rules of Play VS LoneStar Rules of Play

Yes we are a sanctioned league by the ACS, however for our local rules we use the LoneStar Rule Book for League play and World-standardized Rules of Play  for National Championship play. There are a few differences, only minor with respect to touching moving balls, coaching infractions, and etc. Remember, LoneStar League Rules for Local Play.

Good Sport!

Pool is a great sport and a lot of fun, Let's keep it that way. Competition sometimes brings out the real competitive spirit in all of us, however let's remember that this is also recreation and being a good sport shows great character.

Special Note:

Remember, that the first two weeks of the season we will play with no handicap. Starting the third week of play you will begin using your handicaps.

Score Sheets

It is very important to fill out the reverse side of the sheet to be turned in for recording. Please indicate which player paid for their fees. Also, be sure to include the player’s full name. You know, first and last name.

Weekly Fees

Our weekly fees will be $10.00 per player per week.

Table Sizes

Some Sponsors have both bar size pool tables & 8ft pool tables. Both table sizes are sanctioned by the ACS, therefore it is the Sponsors choice of table size.
