Sponsor Information

A Lonestar Pool League Sponsor provides teams and facilities where the league members may play. By hosting one or more teams in the Lonestar League, a Sponsor can expect to see increased business, and therefore increased revenues, in the establishment. Along with these increased business opportunities, the Sponsor accepts the following primary responsibilities:

Quality Playing Environment

The Sponsor will provide at least two high-quality pool tables, and will dedicate them to the league players for the evening of play, starting 1/2 hour prior to the match start time. The sponsor will endeavor to render the playing area free from distractions (by turning down speakers, TVs, game systems, etc.) and create an atmosphere conducive to competitive pool. If the tables are coin op tables, it is soley the Sponsors call to open the tables.

Promote Team Involvement

The Sponsor will encourage team participation in the League, and will strive to keep teams active in the League for the duration of the season. In the event that a team drops out, the Sponsor will strive to find new players so that the team can be re-built and continue to participate.

Management of Team Captains

The key to smooth League operation is to assign responsible and reliable team captains. The Sponsor should identify and work with the team captains of all the teams based at the Sponsor's establishment. In the event that the captain drops out, the Sponsor will find a new team captain.

Guarantee of Team Funds

Should the weekly funds for a match be mislaid (or stolen), once accepted for delivery by the visiting team, the visiting team's sponsor will be responsible for paying the lost monies.

Drop Off Locations

If the establishment is a drop off location for weekly monies, the Sponsor should assign a manager or staff member to accept the payment envelopes from the team captains on the night of play. These envelopes will be collected (on the same night of play) by a League Director or Manager. The Sponsor will be responsible for the envelopes, and will pay any monies that are lost while the envelopes are in the care of the drop off establishment.

Sponsorship Fees:

We hereby agree to provide 2 tables for each team on the night of play for the Lonestar Pool League, and to pay a sponsorship ($75.00 for 8 ball, $50.00 for 9 ball) fee per team for the season.
